McTominay and McGregor help Scotland to fourth win from four

Scotland moved a step closer to booking their spot at Euro 2024 as they maintained their perfect record in qualifying with a 2-0 win over Georgia in Tbilisi on Wednesday.

Goals from Scott McTominay and Callum McGregor gave Steve Clarke's side their fourth win from four Group B matches, moving them three points clear of second-placed Spain.

The match was originally scheduled to take place in March but was postponed due to the war in Ukraine.

Scotland took the lead in the 24th minute when McTominay headed home from a Kieran Tierney cross.

McGregor then doubled the lead in the 89th minute with a low drive from the edge of the area.

The result leaves Scotland in a strong position to reach next summer's tournament in Germany.

They will host Spain in their next match on March 25, before finishing their qualifying campaign away to Cyprus on March 28.
