Breaking News: Bayer Leverkusen Draws Frankfurt in Bundesliga Match

Leverkusen's Alonso Considers Double Striker Against Frankfurt

Frankfurt Maintains Winning Streak in Home Meetings

Leverkusen, Germany - Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt played to a disappointing 0-0 draw in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with Frankfurt extending its winning streak in home meetings to five matches.

Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso indicated he might field a double striker formation in the upcoming match against Frankfurt, while Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner expressed satisfaction with his team's performance despite the draw.

The match was closely contested, with both teams creating chances but failing to capitalize. Leverkusen had a slight edge in possession and shots on target, but Frankfurt's defense held strong.

Frankfurt's winning streak in home matches against Leverkusen now stands at five, including a 5-1 thrashing in the 2020-21 season. Leverkusen, on the other hand, has not won at Frankfurt since 2018.

Leverkusen remains in third place in the Bundesliga standings, while Frankfurt is sixth. The two teams will meet again on March 11 in the reverse fixture at Leverkusen's BayArena.
